Siobhan McCarthy, known as "The Red Harper," is a dedicated mom, musician, intuitive teacher, and sound healer from Northeast Ohio. She was born into a musical family; all having strong interests in music, literature, and art. Her musical journey began at the Interlochen Center for the Arts and blossomed at the University of Akron, where she earned her BA in Music.
With over 12 years of experience teaching piano, voice, and harp, Siobhan has performed with notable local organizations, including The Cleveland Opera Chorus, Singers Companye, Weathervane Playhouse, and The Akron Choral Symphony. She occasionally shares her talent in local churches, fairs, and on Quinn Irish Radio in Cleveland, where she sings, plays harp, and discusses her Irish heritage.
Siobhan holds certifications as a Kindermusik Teacher and an Integrative Sound Healer; she is also a natural at musical dictation for the blind. Her love for teaching and sparking imagination inspires her to explore learning philosophies like Montessori and Waldorf.
She has collaborated with her father, Dr. Daniel McCarthy, for his textbook "Music Theory for Today's Musician." Together, they are creating a lullaby album for her daughter.
Alongside music, Siobhan is passionate about holistic medicine after overcoming health challenges. She loves studying philosophy, spending time in nature, and embarking on adventures with her family.
